Committee Information

Below are positions for the yearbook committee (excl. chief editor). Everybody who applies these positions are required and expected to work efficiently, attend all meetings and complete tasks on time without delay.

Vacant positions: committee applications are closed.

  • SECTION EDITOR
    • Requisite qualities: responsibility, time-management, teamwork and reliability.
    • Can co-operate with the committee (especially our journalists).
    • Takes in charge of a section of the yearbook with 0-2 other section editors. Sections include:
      • Quotes (sayings contributed by students and staff)
      • Arthouse (an artwork showcase)
      • Reports (self-explanatory)
    • Has access and experience with either of these software: Microsoft Publisher or Adobe InDesign.
    • Vacant positions are unavailable.
  • COPYWRITER
    • Requisite qualities: high levels of experience.
    • Definition of a copywriter can be found here.
    • Vacant positions are unavailable.
  • COPY EDITOR
    • Requisite qualities: good English, reliability
    • Assures and checks that content does not offend our audience and is free from misspellings.
    • Vacant positions are unavailable.
  • ART DIRECTOR
    • Requisite qualities: communication, reliability, time-management and a solid experience with Adobe Photoshop (CS2+)
    • Gives advice to both chief editor and section editors with:
      • Layouts
      • Colour Schemes
      • Designs
      • Graphics
      • Critique and feedback
    • Vacant positions are unavailable.
  • BAMM (Business, Advertising and Marketing Manager)
    • Requisite qualities: loyalty, patience, a solid knowledge of consumer arithmetic, time-management, communication, reliability and is always willing to give things a go.
    • Coordinates promotions for the yearbook.
    • Collects sponsors
    • Keeps track of all financial records, sales and funds.
    • Vacant positions are unavailable.
  • JOURNALIST
    • Requisite qualities: communication, loyalty, patience, reliability, time-management, responsibility and is always willing to give things a go.
    • Has access and experience with either of these software: word-processing.
    • You are expected to cooperate with the editors.
