School Newsletter – Edition 3

The school website has updated

Earlier today the school has posted a news item on its website in regards to the Year 12 Parent-Teacher Night.

The Year 12 Parent-Teacher Night, held on Monday 3 May, gave parents the opportunity to meet and discuss with teachers.

According to the website, the web editor confirms that Year 11 Parent-Teacher Night will be held next Monday (10 May).

NSW Students Online

Year 12 students may have received an email through their DET inboxes from the school about a website called NSW Students Online. Here is a copy of the email:

The Board of Studies has advised that from the 29th of April, 2010, you may access your personalised HSC TimeTable on the NSW Students OnLine website:
http://studentsonline.bos.nsw.edu.au/

Your Students OnLine PIN will be issued to you in the House Meetings on the 29th of April, 2010.

Quick News

• Year 12 Assembly is scheduled for Thursday Period 2.
• Year 12 Half-Yearly Reports have recently been distributed to Year 12 students and their parents.
• It’s been announced on Tuesday morning that there will be an SRC meeting this Friday.
• For those curious about the progress going on with the yearbook, I have yet to contact them.

ANZAC Service

On Friday 23rd April the school held the service through the public address (PA) system.

It featured students speaking about the significance of an important national occasion, followed by live trumpeting and approximately a minute’s worth of silence for respect.

In other news the next assembly for Year 11s is expected to schedule on Tuesday. I’m not sure when the Year 12 assembly will be on, though most likely Wednesday.
